A Tale of Two Field Trips...

(Pre-Storm Day 2 in Wyoming)

Field Trip 1
On September 13th I went on a work field trip. We first stopped at the Thistle land slide, then went down to the Castle Dale Formation by Helper, UT. From there it was on to look at some formations on our way to Duchesne.
This is the EGI group.

Thanks for the photo David. Can you find me in the picture? I'm the one with the orange vest on.

Vaughn and Matthias helped a woman that had broken down on the side of the road.
All in all it was a fun trip and I thought the orange EGI vests were so funny.

Field Trip 2
On September 18th & 19th I went with my PICP 1 class to Wyoming to look at the Seviver fold and thrust belt from Ogden and up into Wyoming.

The guy on the rock is John and he co-led the field trip.

I met a lot of the people that are new to the department and there were a few from the good old days!

So In Love...

Bryan and I had Engagement photos taken. We booked the best photographer and I'm not just saying that because she's my favorite sister. Heather did an amazing job and we love them. Here are just a few of the pics.

Thanks again Heather! We love them.

The planning has started...

We have started planning our wedding. It's fun, amazing and yes a little stressful. I have more than enough time and there isn't too much that I need to worry about for the next 6 months. I'm just working on the basics and some of the small things that I can do now.

Two weeks ago we went with our parents to Red Butte Garden to meet with the event planner. We set the date for the wedding (looks like I'm going to be a classic June bride). We walked through the garden where the ceremony will be and through the Orangerie where the reception will be. Everyone loved it and I think it is going to be a beautiful wedding. I can't wait to see Bryan at the other end of the garden on our wedding day.

This last Saturday Bryan and I had both families over to Bryans house to get to know each other. Heather came over early and helped out with the decorations. Everyone had a good time.

He asked and I said Yes...

On Saturday Bryan told me that he wanted to take me on a real date this weekend not one of our Home Depot dates. So we were going to go to the Zoo and then out to dinner.

We had so much fun walking around Hogle Zoo. It was such a nice day and its been a long time for both of us since we had been there. We loved all the newly remodeled exhibits. Then we went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. This is a very special place because this was where we went on our very first date. We talked about meeting there for the first time, how nervous we were and how much we liked each other. After dinner we went back to Bryan's house. Just as I was sitting down Bryan said "Hey I just had a thought. Why don't we take the truck up into the mountains and watch the sunset?"
The sunset was amazing. Bryan got down on one knee and purposed. I say Yes!!!

He designed this beautiful ring at The Gem Smith. I love it!!!

Heather put together a little family brunch for us Sunday morning. Then we went to dinner with Bryan's family. Thank you to everyone for being so excited for us and all the congratulations.
Thank you Bryan for the amazing weekend. Everything was perfect and I love you so much.
