Getting dirty!!!

Saturday mornings I have a pottery class. I love it. As you can see I'm making a lot of stuff.

These are all the projects I worked on today.

This is my tool box. It's super messy and think I need a bigger one.

I'm making this for my mom for Christmas, so don't tell her :-)

I love this pattern and I think it is going to look cool with glaze on.

Sea Monsters 3D

On Saturday most of my Paleoecology class when to the Clark Planetarium to watch the 3D movie Sea Monsters. The film follows a family of Dolichorhynchops, also known informally as “Dollies,” as they traverse ancient waters populated with saber-toothed fish, prehistoric sharks and giant squid. On their journey the Dollies encounter other extraordinary sea creatures: lizard-like reptiles called Platecarpus that swallowed their prey whole like snakes; Styxosaurus with necks nearly 20 feet long and paddle-like fins as large as an adult human; and at the top of the food chain, the monstrous Tylosaurus, a predator with no enemies.

Really cool movie!!!

Geologic Society of America in Denver

U of U vs. CSU 27-3. On Saturday night Lee, Aly, Matt and I went to the game in Ft. Collins

Lee, Aly and Matt at the U of U's Grad booth.

Page and I at the alum reseption. Matt and I left early so we could watch the Broncos game on TV, because Aly and Lee were at the game.
GSA Trivia night. Our team was Andrew Alden (About.com's Geology guide), Matt, Aly, me, and Lee. It was so much fun, even though I was traded to the winning team and had to answer all the questions for that round by myself.

This is most of my GSA swag. Aly and I went back the next morning for one last trip. We got some great books from the SEPM booth.

New car smell.

As you know my Suzuki Esteem died again, and I didn't want to put another transmission in it, So I got a new car!!!! Seattle rain is the color, Hyundai Elantra is the make, and there were only 27 miles on the odometer when I got it. She's so sexy!!! I park so far away now.

Michael doing the "Captain Morgan" pose while searching for ghost shrimp....they're ugly, don't eat them.

Dewey and I packing it in, heading off to Joe's Canteena. My Gallery has all the pictures from my trip.
