Bountiful Handcart Parade 2016...

Jeanette out did herself this year, we had the best spot!
It nice and shady and right up front.

Sophie and Brock were so excited for the parade.
They have been talking about it for days.

Grandma and Brock checking out the smoke trail
from the plane flying over the parade route.

 It was HARD to wait...

Uncle Derek and Uncle Brian gave them
these awesome fans to help stay cool.

The Men.

Grandpa couldn't say no to this little face...

so he got her a bag of cotton candy.
It was the first time she had it
and she loved the treat!

Sophie was a very good big sister and made
sure Brock got candy too.
She has been a very good helper to Brock
since he hurt his leg.

There were lots of great marching bands and fun floats.

Brock loved looking up at the sky and the
big trees we were sitting under.

These two had a lot of fun, and got a Frisbee,
a ball, a necklace and lots of candy.

We love our Handcart Parade family tradition.

Silver Lake....

One of our favorite hikes is the trail around Silver Lake. We had a fun little picnic and then we set out on our adventure.

 It's a really pretty walk.

Sophie and Brock tried really hard to touch the water.

They loved all the little trails down to the lake.

There are a lot of rocks to climb on...

jump on...

 and play on!

They made sure to climb on every single one.

Brock's favorite part was throwing things into the water.

The rocks were a big hit.

This is Sophie's picture that she wanted to take.

Can you see the beaver dam?

We had a lot of fun and made some great memories.
Memories about a mad squirrel, Sophie trying to catch a baby squirrel, Bryan and I with Brock and Sophie on our shoulders the last quarter mile. It was the parents dream: no melt-downs, no "I'm too hot!", no running off, not even one tear!
