Short and Sweet

So, last night I decided to cut all my hair off. Okay so not all my hair, but it was about 4 inches. So here's my new short sexy summer do. And here's a picture of my long hair just so you can compare the two.

Birthday Weekend!!!

May 10th was my 26th Birthday. So on Friday I had a small BBQ with Stephanie, Garrett, Holly, Adam, Jess and Heather. Then on Saturday I had another party with my family.

Heather made me the best cupcake birthday cake ever!!!!

My friend from work, Sudeep gave me this beautiful necklace and a scarf from India, they're so pretty!

My brother Jens sent me these amazing flowers, they look even more beautiful everyday.

I got a Wii, which I am now totally obsessed with!

My brother Pete gave me an actual sword to go along with the Pirates video game...yeah he thinks of everything.

Thank you so much for all the great gifts that everyone gave and for spending my Birthday with me.

Bringing May Flowers...

There are so many beautiful tulips at my house, and I've loved seeing all the blooms.

Last night I was cleaning out some of the stuff I got at GSA Denver last October, and I found my collection of state geological map postcards. So I decided to see how many I was missing by laying them out on the floor. I've been collecting them at 3 GSA's now and I have a lot. Heather got home when I was just about half way through the U.S. and I think she thought that I had gone crazy. I'm still missing Hawaii, South Dakota, New York, Maine, Georgia South Carolina and Mississippi.

Ladies Night!!!

Saturday night (April 12, 2008) was the Association for Women Geoscientists's 19th Annual Scholarship Benefit Auction and Wine Tasting at The Mill at Tracy Aviary.

This year I donated a ceramic box that I made. I was so nervous to see if people were going to like my art. I've never sold any of my pottery and I didn't know how much it would sell for. The opening bid was $15 and at the end of the Auction it went for $60. They said it was one of the top selling items of the night. I was so excited!!!

It was good to see everyone from the U's Geology Department again.

Ally and I catching up and talking about what we were going to buy.

It was a lot of fun, I can't wait for next year.
